![]() ![]() I have also tried several GUI based tools (SearchInZip,WinRAR,dnGrep, PowerGrep) but they dont work correctly either when trying to search multiple files. 7z file format and compression to compress these directories, but I can't find any way to easily search and copy the data from these archives close to the way you can do it with a normal Window's. I have found no way to search a file created by 7zip without having to open each individual file one at a time. Windows will search through 'normal' multiple zip files and find the data easily I need to recover just copy the found data directly from the results. The real reason I needed the regular Windows Zip is because these are daily backup directories and I need to search through them to find a particular file or folder I need to recover sometime. The random path too long issue is a result of different software packages creating paths with super long files names sometimes and across several subdirectories. ![]()
